  📉 India’s Unemployment Rises to 5.6% in May 2025: PLFS Data 📉 भारत में मई 2025 में बेरोजगारी दर बढ़कर 5.6% हुई: पीएलएफएस रिपोर्ट English: According to the latest Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) , India’s unemployment rate rose to 5.6% in May 2025 , up from 5.1% in April 2025 . This increase was seen in both rural and urban areas , with youth and women bearing the brunt of the decline in job availability. The Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) also declined to 54.8% , indicating that fewer people are actively seeking employment. This is the second monthly release of consolidated labour data covering both rural and urban segments.
