India has taken a significant step in environmental protection and infrastructure innovation with the first-ever dedicated wildlife corridor built on a national highway.
Developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the corridor spans 12 kilometres along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, passing through the buffer zone of the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve.
It includes five wildlife overpasses and India’s longest underpass designed solely for safe animal movement, ensuring minimal human-animal conflict and promoting sustainable development.
