National Young Chef Competition (NYCC) Launched to Celebrate Indian Culinary Legacy
The Ministry of Tourism, under the leadership of Suman Billa, Director General, has launched the National Young Chef Competition (NYCC) in New Delhi.
The event is themed “Celebrating Indian Culinary Heritage: Blending Tradition with Innovation”.
It aims to inspire young chefs to preserve and promote India’s rich culinary traditions while infusing creativity and modern techniques.
This initiative is organized in partnership with the Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA) and Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), with strong support from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This competition is not only about cooking—it’s about protecting our food culture, empowering youth, and building India’s culinary future.
