On June 5, 2025, Bihar achieved a major milestone by commencing exports of green vegetables through its cooperative marketing federation VEGFED, modeled after the successful milk cooperative COMFED. The first consignment of 1500 kilograms of vegetables was dispatched to Dubai via Varanasi.
This marks a new beginning in Bihar's agri-export strategy. The next shipment is scheduled to be sent to Singapore, highlighting Bihar’s growing footprint in the global agri-market.
