On June 17, 2025, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Eurobank of Cyprus to introduce Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services in Cyprus.
This strategic move will facilitate cross-border digital transactions, especially benefiting Indian tourists and businesses operating in the region.
In addition, the NSE International Exchange located at Gujarat’s GIFT City also signed an MoU with the Cyprus Stock Exchange to enhance capital market cooperation and investment flows between both countries.

 17 जून 2025 को नेशनल पेमेंट्स कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (NPCI) ने साइप्रस के यूरोबैंक के साथ एक सहमति ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए, जिसके तहत साइप्रस में यूनिफाइड पेमेंट्स इंटरफेस (UPI) सेवाएं शुरू की जाएंगी।
