Framing of the Indian Constitution  The idea to have a constitution was given by MN  Roy (political philosopher)  The constitution was framed by the constituent assembly of India, set up in December 1946, in accordance with the cabinet mission plan, under the chairmanship of sachidanand Sinha comma initially. When the demise of sachidanand Sinha, Doctor Rajendra Prasad was elected as the President. B N Rao was Appointed as the Constitution Advisor.  The total membership of constitute constituent assembly was 389, when 93 weird representative from the Indian state and other from British India.  The chairman of the drafting committee was Dr BR Ambedkar, also called the father of the Constitution. Note: the member of the interim government were members of the Viceroy's Executive Council.
